Winchester 32-40 in 1894 rifle

So, Winchester introduced the 1894 in 32-40 and 38-55 caliber black powder rounds because the nickle steel for stronger barrels had not yet been perfected. The next year nickle steel barrels were available and saw the introduction of the 30-30 and 25-30. But what of the 32-40? Did Winchester ever use nickle steel barrels on the 32-40? If so, what year did they begin doing so? Winchester produced Hi-velocity ammunition with smokeless powder in 32-40 but later cut back on the velocity because of soft steel used in 32-40 barrels. Did Winchester ever use nickle steel for the 32-40? Do any of you know and if so, how was this identified on the barrel?
